After September 11, 2001, we were at a loss. But after we got home and pulled ourselves up, we came up with the following offerings from our contributors. Samuel Bennett recounts his thoughts and inactions on September 11.
Heather McCabe provides not a commentary, just a remembering.
Also, check out what happened to our friend Karin K. on her site.
We have previously featured formal poems about NYC. Now, we have a poem about the towers.
During this time, many people have found comfort in the words of authors writing about earlier events. Here are two of our favorites:
E. B. White, taken from Here is New York.
W. H. Auden, September 1, 1939.
If you'd like to read an essay from Slate on the power of Auden's poem during this time, click here.

LEG Ilbert also shows her international policy prowess by suggesting a course of action.
If you, like we, are concerned and want to donate, please see this list of charity organizations provided by Yahoo! They accept any amount that you could give.
Bless you.
